I'm Amiel. I work alone because the best wedding photography and film comes from one experienced eye, present throughout the day, watching for the moments that matter rather than directing anyone else.
Photography and video have been my work for over five years, across more than 100 weddings. Every wedding I take on receives my full attention.
I'm Filipino-Australian. The weddings I have worked span Australian, Greek, Cypriot, Italian, Chinese, Filipino, Samoan, Indian, African, Colombian, Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Protestant, and non-religious traditions, to name a few. I have filmed a couple's dog walking down the aisle more than once. Every couple is welcome here, and being part of your wedding day is a privilege.

Planning
Before your wedding day
The first reply arrives within 24 hours. From there, your wedding timeline begins to take shape together. I send you your wedding portal password to view your quote, invoice, terms and conditions and business documents such as my public liability insurance. I provide the link for you to book a time for a phone or video call. I work through the schedule, the locations and the moments that matter most with you, and answer any questions you both have.
I give you 3 days to decide and your wedding date is on hold so no other couples can lock in that date until you make your decision. After you pay the deposit, I lock in your date and work alongside both of you and your planner, until I know your day as well as you do. Two weeks before the wedding, I call you for a final walk-through of the schedule together.

Questions couples ask
How do you do both photo and video as one person?
I work with two cameras mounted side by side on a single rail. One records video the whole time while I take photographs with the other, so every moment is filmed and photographed at once and nothing is missed.
That is different from a hybrid photographer, who usually carries one camera and switches between photo and video, so whichever one they are not shooting in that moment is lost.
It also beats booking a separate photographer and videographer. There is no one fighting for the same angle, nobody standing in the other one’s shot or blocking the way, and fewer people running around on the day. You get full photo and video coverage, like having two people there with no compromise, with less hassle and less stress, so you can be more present in your own wedding.
How many hours do you cover?
Every wedding is full day coverage with no hourly limits. I start and finish whenever your day does, from getting ready through to the end of your reception, so nothing is ever on the clock.
I don’t do hourly or part-day pricing, so a shorter day or a small wedding is the same price. One person doing both photo and video suits small and intimate weddings really well too.
How many photos do we get?
Your full digital wedding album comes with 1,000 to 2,000 photographs, every one professionally edited and in high resolution. It arrives within 14 days of your wedding.
You won’t be waiting that long to see something, though. The first photographs arrive the day after your wedding, and the film-look photographs within 72 hours.
The digital album is part of The Digital Wedding and The Complete Wedding, and of Photo or Video when you choose photography.
Do you travel to our venue?
Travel is included for weddings in Sydney, Wollongong, the Southern Highlands and Canberra. I also work across the Blue Mountains, Orange, Bathurst and the Hunter Valley, and I’m happy to travel further, including interstate.
If your venue is outside the included areas, any travel fee is in your quote before you book, so you know the full amount up front.
What’s your style like? We’re a bit camera shy.
Calm, natural and relaxed. I won’t be directing you all day or turning your wedding into a photoshoot. Most of the time I’m working quietly from the edges, watching for the moments that happen on their own, and when it’s time for portraits I’ll guide you through them gently.
Lots of couples tell me afterwards they forgot I was even there. If you’d like to see a full wedding, just ask and I’ll send a few through.
Do you fly a drone?
I do. Drone coverage of your venue is included whenever the weather, your venue and the regulations allow, and I’m CASA accredited to fly. Some venues have their own drone rules, so it’s worth checking with yours early on.
What if we need to change our date or cancel?
Plans sometimes change, and that’s okay. With more than 30 days’ notice, your first date change is free, as long as I’m available on the new date. After that, or with less notice, a $500 admin fee may apply.
Deposits are non-refundable, but if your wedding can’t go ahead, you can pass your deposit on to another couple for their wedding with me, as long as I’m free on their date. The full details are in my terms and conditions.
What if something goes wrong on the day?
I bring backup cameras and spare memory cards to every wedding, and extra cameras record your ceremony and speeches from different angles. I also hold $10 million public liability insurance, and I’m happy to send the certificate to your venue.
If something completely unforeseen ever stopped me from being there, I’d call on my network of trusted photographers and videographers, and if I couldn’t provide a suitable replacement, everything you’ve paid, including your deposit, would be refunded in full.
